Had Nissen Fundoplication Surgery. Feeling Lump In Throat, Bloating. How To Deal With It?

I had nissen fundoplication surgery 1 year ago and I've been having pressure like a lump in my throat and lots of bloating. I was wondering if this could be caused by a wrap that is really tight or if the wrap may have slipped. I'm so tired and frustrated at this point and my surgeon basically told me I just needed to deal with it for now.

Hi,

I understand your concern. But please understand that your surgeon is the best judge in this case as he has done the surgery. You need to understand that this is not an uncommon complication of the surgery. Sometimes dietary changes helps, talk to a dietician. Also sometimes a repeat surgery with corrective measures (it does not mean your surgeon did not do the surgery properly, it is just to ensure a better adaptation by your body) could help.
