Had Pain In Neck Was Stiff And Sore, Swollen And Painful Knees. Taking Tylenol. Suggest?
Monday after lunch, I had an onset of joint pain in every area of my body. When I woke up on Tuesday even my neck was stiff and sore and by the end of the day my knees were both swollen. The left one being double of the right one. It is weird ... and painful. The left swoll up so much that blood vessells actually broke. I am taking tylenol (alergy to ASA) . I went to see a Dr. within the first 24 hours prior to noticing the swelling and they had nothing to tell me.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The sudden [pain in multiple joints is likely to be due to polyarthralgia. This can happen due to a generalized viral infection, autoimmune disorder, rheumatoid arthritis or fibromyalgia. Proper investigations are needed to find the cause. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
