General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The mentioned history and the symptoms are suggestive or some protozoa infection and it can be well treated with Metronidazole, if the treatment fails to respond then stool culture sensitivity test is advisable, chronic infection or inflammatory disease also need to be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Husain, General & Family Physician
