Had Protected Sex. Burning Sensation And Blood When Urinating. Should I Continue Cranberry Pills?
I had sex with protection, but ever since that day my urine has been burning, I ve had blood in my urine aswell. I m wondering if this is my period because I have gotten this blood for two months in a row about when my period should be but the blood is not usual. This blood is odorless. I m wondering what is wrong. I m too shy to go to the doctor with my mother because I am a minor. So I m wondering if I continue to take cranberry pills will that help? Or should I do somethign else. Thank-you
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
You describe the following symptoms:
1. burning with urination
2. blood in your urine
3. onset of symptoms after intercourse
This is possibly related to a bladder infection and you have classic risk factors and symptoms. You should not be embarassed telling your mother that you think you might have a bladder infection. Just tell her it hurts to urinate and you think you have blood in your urine. You do not need to tell her about the intercourse if you do not feel comfortable. You need to get it checked out. Cranberry juice will not cure an infection.
