Hello and welcome to HCM,

In order to get the work which is most suitable for your health status, you need to get a medical certificate from the doctor/ doctors who treated you.
If the requirement of light work is for short duration, you can take leave on medical grounds.

You can get more details about this issue from the rules and regulations of the company/ organisation where you are working.
A doctor can only help you to furnishing you with a medical certificate.

Thanks and take care
