Had Stroke Affecting Thalamus. On Plavix. Can I Use Half Cup Of Brocolli? Any Substitute For Spinach?

My husband just had a stroke--affecting the thalamus only. Thank God. But he is now on Plavix. I am planning on doing some mixed vegetables. The recipe calls for spinach and broccoli. I understand that these are not good with Plavix. However, I need the vitamin K veggies. Can I put a little of the broccoli (1/2) cup in his dish and none of the spinach for a one time event. After this, I will use cauliflower for him. Do you know what I can substitute for spinach?

Hi

I do not think so there is any significant correlation of plavix with the vegetables.Plavix is a blood thinner used in medical practice.

Only real concern of plavix is the bleeding in some cases, as such there is no significant interaction with the vegetables.

Thanks.
