Had Unprotected Sex. Discharged A Gelatinous Mass And Blood But Nothing Like Periods. What Does It Mean?

I am 43 years old and take great care of myself. My last pregnancy was 10 years ago. I had unprotected sex 15 days ago. I do not remember when was my last period. Two days ago I started what I thought was just spotting, because it was nothing like my regular period. Today though, I discharged a gelatinous mass and have discharged more blood but again, nothing like my regular cycle. I have experienced most of the symptoms of early pregnancy, nevertheless have tested negative for pregnancy at home. What do you think?

Hi,
It is difficult to say whether you had conceived as your menstrual history has not been furnished. You can get a serum beta-hCG test to know exactly what had happened. You would know if you conceived. You can also get a trans-vaginal sonogram and see a specialist for further suggestions. Home pregnancy tests do not show up so early; even a sonogram may not but a blood test will. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
