My blood pressure was very about 2 months ago. I have not had issues with blood pressure being high. I was put on 2 different meds for high blood pressure. I was admitted to the hospital and has several tests wich all came back normal includind a cardiac cath. I was sent home on two blood pressure meds. My pressure became very low and I am still experiencing low pressure. My Doctor has taken me off all blood pressure meds am I am experience ups and down with my pressure. I am very wiped out and some days and I can not function very well.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Since , you have not mentioned your age , gender, reading of blood pressure? According to every test is normal and blood variation is there . As for example , if your age is 70 years then your B P 140/88 mm of Hg may be normal . If your age is 30 years , B P 130 / 88 mm of Hg is high ( diastolic i.e. lower one). Now about low pressure . Just for example as, If you are athlete and good runner and age is 23 years , B P is 100 /68 mm of Hg , it is normal. So mention all things and upload reports , there after we will be able to tell any thing. Good luck. Dr. HET
Hi, Thanks for using Healthcaremagic, After going through your history, your blood pressure was very high, it is good that your tests including cardiac cath are normal. Now your blood pressure is normal without any medicine hence you need to just monitor your blood pressure. This can occur that is episodic high blood pressure or Labile Hypertension some time we need to investigate for some causes which are secondary causes like tumor of suprarenal glands Pheochromocytoma and Cushing syndrome that is excess of Steroids in body. Please discuss with your Physician and monitor your blood pressure if it goes high appropriate treatment may be started. It is possible to monitor blood pressure with continuous ambulatory BP monitor to record blood pressure for 24 hours to give better insight about blood pressure. Hope this helps. Take care. Good Luck. Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D.
