Hard, Painful Swelling On The Lower Leg, Is Persistent, No Bruises, Is Sore To Touch. What Could It Be?

my 10 year old daughter has a painful swelling on the outside if her lower leg that was first noticed after a game of netball it is sore to touch but no bruise ever appeared after icing for the first 2 days it was over a week ago she can weightbear and is not limping but it is constantly sore it is firm and painful to touch?Any ideas?

It can be collected blood in that area that has become organised. This is quite common specially in children. Since two week has passed and there is no pain left, I would suggest you to apply hot water fomentaion and not ice. Also she can take Brufen tablet as it will cause decrease in swelling.
