Hard Round Lump Where Xiphoid Process Would Be Located. What It Is?

I have noticed a hard round lump where my xyphoid process would be located. It can at times be tender and I believe that is because I am constantly feeling it. It is about the size of a dime. Any ideas on what that is. Since it s not in the breast tissue could it still be breast cancer?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Do not worry, this is part of the normal anatomy and is nothing abnormal. Just that the constant irritation and touching has resulted in tenderness. Do not worry about it. Although if it causes you any trouble in the future, you could write back to me and I would gladly help you out.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
