Hard Unmovable Lump Under Skin In Area Below Elbow, Pain In Arm Muscle. Will It Go Away ?

Have a hard unmovable lump under skin in area below elbow, diagnosed as cat scratch fever a year or so ago, via cat scan, was told it could take up to four years for it to dissipate. Now have residual pain/sensation in arm muscle on that arm, as well as other arm muscle (where one would flex to make a muscle). Lump has no rash or lesions, but waxes and wanes from grape size, smaller and bigger. When will it go away?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The hard immovable lump could be an inflamed bursa or tendonitis. This is not likely to improve without taking proper antibiotic medicines. Do get it examined for confirmation of diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
