Has UTI, Pseudomonas Found, Pain In Shoulder And Below Ribcage And Chest. Pleuricy Or Gall Bladder?
My 11 year old son had a UTI last week and pseudomonas was identified in first urine sample, but clear in the second one, 3 days later. Now, one week later he woke up with pain in his shoulder and below rib cage under right side. Tonight he is in a lot of pain in his chest and shoulder on right side. Could this be related? Pleuricy? Gall bladder?

Hello. Thanks for the question. In view of symptoms its difficult to fit it into one particular cause. But of course pleurisy, pleural effusion or inflammation along diaphragm can cause such symptoms. Its common to get referred pain in the region of shoulder in such causes.Gall bladder issues are unlikely to present like this. You can get a chest xray and sonography of abdomen done. This can help to determine the cause of symptoms.Hope that answers your question.Regards.
