Has Recurring Red Deep Holes On Face, Shoulders, Back And Forearm. Treated With Antibiotics But No Help
my fiance has recurring red deep round holes on face (cheek regions) shoulders, back and one recently on forearm. We have been to several dermatologist who have treated with antibiotics.... but it never goes away for good. Any ideas? Please help. She's 31 years old and has had perfect skin up until 2 years ago and was going thru a very stressful time in her life. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. Your wife might be suffering from recurrent boils (furuncles). Sometimes this happen due to a bad bacteria which remains as carrier in certain sites of the body or due to poor immunity. Medical conditions which decreases immunity should be ruled out like diabetes and anemia. Pus from the boil can be collected for culture and sensitivity which will provide details about the antibiotic which will work against this bacteria. There is a treatment regime for recurrent furunculosis and to treat carrier state. Kindly consult a good dermatologist for this. Hope this helped Take care
