Hello!

Thank you for the query.

GERD and peptic ulcers can cause chronic inflammation of the esophagus or stomach. Due to chronic inflammation, cancer cells can appear. That is why it si very important to have stomach controlled every few years with a gastroscopy. Moreover, new ulcer and H.Pylori infection could appear. This can trigger your symptoms. In case of H.Pylori infection, medicines blocking stomach acid can be ineffective.

That is why I suggest you to visit your doctor, have gastroscopy repeated and H.Pylori test done. In case of an infection antibiotics should be prescribed.

If the gastroscopy will be negative, abdominal ultrasound to rule gallstones out should be also done.

In a meanwhile please avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee, alcohol.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
