Have PCOD, Missed Periods, Spotting, Negative Pregnancy Test. Is Sysron Safe?
Hi Doctor I have a PCOD problem due to that I have missed my periods for more than 3 months. Than all of sudden my periods has started with the small spots but it was not regular. I have done the pregnancy test twice and it is negative. I am trying for pregnancy from last 1 year. However I have already a one kid. Now my doctor has given me sysron 5mg twice a day. Kindly suggest is that safe to take or what should I do in this situation. Thanks
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Irregular bleeding is most common symptom in PCOD cases due to hormonal imbalance. As far as concerned about sysron ( norethisterone ) , you can use it safely without any side effects. For PCOD please upload complete reports as how many cysts are there with size , sides ( both or one side). FSH/LH levels, Estradiole level, testosterone level, obesity , atretric follicles with ovarian stroma . Without these reports it is not possible to predict something about the future course of action of disease. Good luck. Dr. HET
