Have A Bump On The Mastoid Bone. Diagnosed That It Could Be A Sinus Infection. What To Do Now?

I have a bump on my mastoid bone that hurts to touch, and a rash on the top of my head on the scalp that hurts to touch. cant get to the doctor for a few days so was wondering what it could possibly be and if it requires immediate care. emergency room visit deemed the bump on mastoid to be symptom of a sinus infection, but does not explain the rash on my scalp.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
If the rash hurts on touch, It might be a cellulitis.
This requires urgent treatment with antibiotics as a delay can be dangerous.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.
