Have A Lump Near The Belly Button. No Pain. Soft And Squishy. Gets Bigger, Change Color. Hernia?
Hi, im a 31 year old male. Ive had a lump in/on my belly button for about 6 months now. Do I have to worry? According to the web its a hernia of some kind? Im not in anykind of pain. Its soft and squishy-like. It doesnt seem to get bigger or change colour. Do I need to surgically remove it? What are the consequences if I dont? Kind regards Oliver

Regarding hernia,it has some characteristics like enlargement of mass during coughing etc.
You didn't mention about other symptoms like any urinary changes or bowel disturbances.
And also did you have any trauma or any other previous surgery at the site of lump.
Do an ultrasound abdomen by an radiologist..
Then consult general surgeon and have your treatment..

Hello.Belly button hernia is a possible diagnose.
You must go your doctor to examine you and confirm or exclude diagnose.
It is a very frequent pathology.
If the hernia is bigger or your discomfort is greater,you may need surgery.
If appears Colour changes(purple colour)or severe pain you will must go
to emergency service.
