Have A Type 2 Diabetic. Have Bleeding, And The Blood Sugar Goes High. On Insuman Basal, Apidral. Suggestions

I am 40 years old, a type 2 diabetic since 2003 also with high readings of blood pressure. I have been bleedi!!! I have since noticed that whenever i bleed my blood sugar reading goes higher, i really do not understand! I currently do take insuman Basal 40 to 42 unit and Apidral anytime i eat any cabohydrate food and my readings are about 8.6, to 12.8 mml, but what strange is that when i inject even 12 to 14 unit of my insuman Basal my readings is 8.6 to 11.5 mml. Please can any specialist tell me what's wrong!!

Hello,

You're are a diabetic on insulin and you're Hypertensive also.
You have not mentioned whether you're taking any treatment for hypertension.
You have noticed blood sugar rise during your periods.
It may be due to stress or due to any hormonal imbalance.
I'm able to notice that your are not keen on diet.
Rather restricting calorie you're taking more insulin.
This way you will need more insulin to control your blood sugars.
This may be another reason for increase of blood sugars.
