Have Abdominal Wall Abscess, Taking Antibiotics. Too Long A Wait?

I was admtitted to hospital for an abdominal wall abcess related to surgery a few months prior. I was made to wait over 24 hours before they could take me to radiology to drain it. I was on antibiotics but I kept asking whya I had to wait so long & wasn t isan emergency. Was that too long to wait and was that dangerous?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern if you have abscess and the medical team decided to drain the pus but still not sure about this then there would be many reasons behind this, first the medical fitness, second the must be getting good result with antibiotic, third the lesion would not be operable they must be seeing some risk and other problem would be there you need to discus with the doctor, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
