Have Been Sexually Active. Why Is Vagina Swollen After Itching?

Hi, I have been sexually active for about 2 years now & until recently nothing was wrong. I had gotten my period on time, like normal, then afterwards, my vagina was very swollen. My labia minora was very swollen, and kind of raw feeling. It hurt really bad, & itched like crazy. The swelling went down & it felt fine, but when i had sex, it burned like something i ve never felt. Whats wrong with me?spencher.

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have acquired Herpes Infection .

Please consult qualified Gynaecologist for clinical examination and get microscopic examination of vaginal fluid done to confirm the diagnosis.

Please take anti viral medication like Acyclovir twice daily along with topical antiviral jelly for local application.

Ensure to clean your genitals with warm water twice daily and avoid sexual activities till gets cured completely..
