Have Benign Schwannoma In Spine. How To Minimize Lower Back Pain?

I recently was diagnosed with a benign schwannoma on a nurve at the base of my spine. The socalled Dr says it can and should be removed. But, I neither have any insurance or money to pay for the neuro-surgeon. So until a miracle happens No surgery. My question is: what can I expect since I can't have surgery and what can I do to minimize the pain in my lower back without taking a lot of pain medicine?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain that you are having is most likely to be caused by the nerve root compression by the benign tumor. If the pain killers and gabapentin or methylcobalamin supplements are not helpful then surgery should be considered.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
