Have Blood In Urine, No Painful Urination, Had Abdominal Pain. Should I Be Worried?

Hi! I have blood in my urine and no pain while I urinate. I have had some lower adominal pain for the last few days. I am showing signs od dehydration even though i am very hydrated. Im a 22 year old female with Lupus . My Lupus is pretty under control. I am not pregnant and there is no chance that I may be. Should I be worried?

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have pain in abdomen and hematuria.

Pain in abdomen with hematuria is most likely to be due to presence of urinary stone .
Please get following basic test done to diagnose your problem
1) Routine urine test and urine culture to rule out infection.
2) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen to rule out stone in anywhere urinary system .

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.and later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
