Have Bowel Movement After Eating, Loose Stool, Pain In Rib Cage, Feeling Nauseous. Is It IBS?

I have had stomach problems for years- immediately needing to have a bowel movement after eating and IBS symptoms. In the last few days my stool has been very loose and pale yellow with watery yellow acid. I have has pain in my right side deep under my rib cage and in my For algebra 2shoulder blade even. I'm still feeling nauseous as well. Are these new symptoms of IBS or something different?

Hi there ~

Having a bowel movement after eating, loose stools and pain in the rib cage along with feeling nauseous are not associated with having symptoms of IBS. You are probably having symptoms of a lower GI infection. I hope you visit with a gastrointestinal specialist to find out if you really do have IBS. It is not an easy thing to treat and you might need a psychiatric consultation as well as stress and anxiety are related to IBS as well. So cross your fingers and hope for an easily treatable condition.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a lovely day!
