Have Brown Discharge, Light Bleeding, Severe Pain In Hip. Was On Depo Shot, Birth Control. What Do We Expect?

I am 41 was on the depo shot over 8 years ago. just recently started again have had two doses and i have brown discharge daily and some light bleeding that shows up more when having sex. the bleeding that is. when i urinate and wipe i have blood on tissue so i wear pantyliners or pad daily because i do not know what to expect. Im on depo not for birth control but heavy periods with pain to try to control the bleeding.Hip pain very servere when periods would come on

The light brownish discharge that you are having is a common finding after a depo shot. This spotting is likely to decrease in next few weeks. The severe pain in the hip may be related to the shot or due to a muscle spasm. taking mild pain killers will help.
