So I would advise an examination of your urine (urine routine and urine culture examination); after which an infection can be diagnosed or ruled out (this can have nothing to do with your sexual status; but if you are sexually active, then the chances of you having an infection increase). A urethral swab may also help to find a more precise cause. If a digital rectal examination (DRE) to check on the prostate along with a rectal ultrasound has reported a normal prostate, then there should be nothing to worry about. But for your satisfaction you could check your serum PSA , which is more specific for finding cancer of the prostate, if this value is normal, which it should be, then your prostate is cancer-free.
