Have Cold Sore On Hairline Inside Right Labia And Painful. Taking Ceftin And Probiotics

If I am long married, monogamous and have a clean STD panel, know what a yeast infection looks like because I am 38, and have what looks a feels like a cold sore on the hairline inside my right labia. It has been painful. I'm just on the third day of Ceftin for a sinusitis case, I have been taking probiotics, this is just inexplicable

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I can understand your concern.

Herpes usually presents as grouped vesicles or erosions which can pain or burn. Their may be associated burning on micturation.

I would like to keep a possibility of Aphthous ulcer which presents as painful ulcer, specially if you and your partner have not been outside your relationship.

A lab test for herpes HSV ELISA is also advisable in case of any confusion in diagnosis.

I would advice that you visit a dermatologist who would be able to either confirm OR rule out whether it is aphthous or herpes.
