i have cyst in my ovary measures 5.5 x4.0 cm. Doctor gave me Azomax azithromycin for 7 days will it get cure with this tablet...

Hi, welcome to the forum.
I would like to know what kind of cyst is it? A simple or haemmorhagic or a chocolate cyst? there are various types of cysts.Are your both ovaries enlarged in size? in medical terms we call it POLYCYSTIC OVARIES...IF your ovarian cyst is functional simple cyst , then it will go off with pills.But otherwise you need to go for a laparoscopy.Whats your age? If you are married and planning for a kid then go to a nearby gynaecologist and get the further tests done.If you are from mumbai , i can suggest you good gynaecologists.

Hi,thanks for query.The tablet that is given to you is antibiotic and that is normally given when infection is suspected.It can not help with the cyst but must have been given for some infection in its nearby area.Ovarian cyst can be because of various reasons and it depends upon the time of cycle also.Please take medicines as advised.
