Have Delay In Periods. Was Taking Microgyon. Had Unprotected Sex Earlier. What Can Be The Reason?

Hi I have been on microgynon for 3 years and never missed a period, I am on the last day of my pill free week and still have had no sign of my period, i have had unprotected sex and I have missed a few pills here and there due to stress and my grandfather passing away 2 weeks ago, I did take the pills when I remembered, I have taken a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. I'm due to take the first tablet of my pill tonight, should I continue to take it as normal ? And should I be worried I haven't had my period yet ? Please help !

Hi dear user, as per your history you have missed your pills and you had unprotected sex also. Both these factors increase the chances of pregnancy. You should rule out any pregnancy before starting next pill pack. In my opinion, you should get your serum beta HCG levels checked. If this comes to be positive, then get it rechecked after 48 hrs to have an idea about exact location of pregnancy.
