Have Excruciating Pain In Testicle After Sneezing. Is This The Cause For Concern?

My son is nearly 13 and after sneezing he was just in excruciating pain in his right testicle. He says this has happened a few times over the last few months and only hurts when he sneezes and not always either. Is this something I should be concerned about?
Any advice on the matter will be most appreciated.
Regards
Lee

Hi Lee,

during sneezing the intra abdominal pressure increases and this pressure is transmitted to the scrotum. Normally there should not be any pain. So just to rule out any problem get done USG external genitalia. Till then ask him to wear testicular support, loose pants and mile analgesics will help him. Get back with the report for further discussion.

Regards
