Have Extreme Heavy Flow Of Discharge During Periods. Have Been Taking Cyklokapron. What To Do?

hello, I am a 51 year old female. I have been experiencing extreme heavy flow of period blood to the point where I feel extremely tired and dizzy all the time from loss of blood despite taking iron pills every day. My doctor has prescribed Cyklokapron and I have taken 6 pills per day with a total of 60 pills yet the bleeding has not stopped or decreased. Could you please tell me what I should do next because I don't think these pills are helping me at all.

Hi,
If Tranexamic acid is not useful, the next line of treatment is either using hormones or NSAIDs and gonadotrophin-releasing hormone agonists like Goserelin; surgical methods may be used for treatment failure through medical means and this includes a dilatation and curettage, treatment of any local causes, endometrial ablation, uterine artery embolization and hysteroscopic myomectomy or hysterectomy. You should see your doctor for a review and discuss further plan of management. Hope this information is useful. Good luck.
