Have Fever, Lack Of Appetite, Headache, Sleeplessness. Diagnosed As Starting Of Ear Infection. Give Me Suggestion
My 6 yr old son has had a fever for 6 days, dark circle under his eyes, lack of appetite but has been really good with drinking fluids. Has complained if a headache & nausea periodically. He hasn t been sleeping, and so neither has mommy! This is NOT normal for him to be I ll more than a day or 2. Do you have any suggestions? The dr said he is possibly getting the start of an ear infection, but that his symptoms are just the result of a cold. I don t know what to do.

Hi,
As he is having temperature for 6 days, he requires some blood work to be carried out to know the reason for having temperature.
Go for blood CBC, Widal test.
Go for urine routine and microscopic.
After reports your doctor will go for treatment accordingly.
Meanwhile give him Tylenol for fever as and when required.
Give him plenty of water and light diet.
Ok and take care.
