Iam in my mid 20's i have never had a Pap smear. My period is always off, when it does come it usually last 7 days heavy to light, at times I go months before I have one. I was experiencing weight gain an break outs I finally got one this month after aproximatley 3-4 months the flow was light then heavy and back an forth For over the 7days im now feel bloated and am experiencing cramps which is normal i just never have been on it this long nor has it been so back an forth with the flow, should I be worried?
As per your history, you are having irregular periods with weight gain, bloating and cramps. In my opinion, polycystic ovaries or some thyroid disorder may be the possible reason for this. I used to advise blood test(Complete Haemogram, LH & FSH levels, Thyroid profile) and ultrasound of both ovaries to see ovarian volume, number and pattern of follicles.
Hope this helps.
