Have Growing Indentations In Prepatellar Bursa. No Pain And Tenderness. Anything To Worry?

I have some growing indentations in the prepatella bursa. It started as a small permenent linier dent over my "kneecap", and recently has grown in size perpendicular to the original "dent". Kind of like a ripped seam that is continuing to unravel. No pain, no tenderness, no loss of ROM. Need to worry? I ski for a living.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The growing indentations in the bursa is due to an overuse or a mild inflammation in the area. If the indentation is painless then there is nothing to worry.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
