Have Had Sore Throat, Swallowing Difficulty, Blocked Ears, Mucus Draining Down Throat. Drink Lemon Water?
i have had a sore throat for about 7 days on evening and early mornings. for the past two days it's been a all day. the sore throat is mainly on the right side and blocks my ears at times. swallowing is though. last night i had a lot of mucus draining down my throat. some i swalloed some i spat.
i have been drinking lemon water with a pinch of cayenne pepper.
Hello dear.. All these symptoms indicate that you might be having Upper respiratory tract infection.
Management includes: 1. Gargle with warm salt water to relieve throat pain. 2. Analgesics like paracetamol 3. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity reports to remove the causative organism. 4. Antihistamine preparations can also be used to provide symptomatic relief. If symptoms still persist...it will be better to consult an ENT specialist. Meanwhile...avoid taking cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods.
