Have High Blood Pressure. Medical Cure For This?
My partner recently has had high blood pressure and we've noticed that lately he has been eating a lot of bread, we are nearly sure that he is gluten intolerant and was wondering if this could be the cause of high blood pressure.
We are very careful not to have too much salt or alcohol in our diet, but he does eat quiet a lot of red meat. If you could give me a response l would be very grateful. Thank you

Blood pressure generally rises with age and a family history of hypertension also increases the chances of developing high blood pressure.
Other risk factors would be increase weight, inactivity, smoking.
In terms of the carbohydrates and your blood pressure, it is possible that it is related to insulin release.
In addition to lowering blood sugar, insulin also causes the kidneys to retain salt and water. Since carbohydrates like bread cause the body to release insulin, it is possible that the increase in salt and water retained by the kidneys would affect or cause an increase in blood pressure.
You can consider decreasing his use and see if there is a positive effect.
