Hello

Thanks for the query

High protein in the blood is indicative of chronic inflammation of the liver and sometimes chronic infection.
Here are my suggestions to you

1. Being on steroids would not have caused the high level of proteins
2. The most common cause is dehydration, so please get your levels repeated
3. The repeat levels are high please approach a physician to get a complete body check up including ultrasound abdomen, liver function test, peripheral smear and serum electrophoresis
4. Do not ignore the condition

I wish you good health

I hope I was of help to you

Regards
