Have Hypothyroidism. Taking Synthroid. Bumps On Tongue, Taste Awfull, Thirsty. Related To Thyroid?

Hi I am a 18 yr. old female, only health issue that I have is hypothyroidism. I am on synthroid 88mcg one tablet daily.
For the past few months I have noticed on the back of my tongue there has been some bumps or ridges. They bother me whenever i swallow. Also in the middle crease of my tongue has been discolored like orange and white substance. It taste awfull and i am always thirsty. My question is could this be associated with my thyroid or is something else?

Hello,
A direct clinical evaluation of the lesion is mandatory prior to give a final dignosis.
Meanwhile,the ulceration can be healed with frequent warm saline gargle.
Take plenty of fluids and nutritious diet.
Floss your tongue daily with tongue scrapers.
Take vitamin becosules,c,iron supplements.
Intake of spicy foods has to be limited.The medication has to be replaced if causing side effects after consulting with your physician.
