Have Irregular Periods, Taking Duphaston To Regularize. Can Be Taken When Don't Get Period?

Hello doctor. I have very irregular periods. Like one time i get it after one month sometimes after two months and sometimes even more than that. I havent got my periods for ghree months now and started taking duphaston two days ago. Would you recommend this tablet every time i do not get my periods. How much time should i wait before taking this tablet?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Duphaston can help in inducing the withdrawal bleeding this time.
But to get regular periods in future you have to get investigated to find out the actual cause for irregularity.
You consult your gynecologist, get examined and go for ultrasound.
If she suggests go for thyroid profile once.
With this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated.
