Have Knee Problems, SGPT 79 U/L, Serium Calcium Value 8.1 Mg/dL. What To Do?

I am Shashi Anand. I am 50 years old. I have knee problems and i am taking medicines since last 5 years. Doctors advised me for some medical tests in which my SGPT (UV without P5P) is 79 U/L and serium calcium value is 8.1 mg/dL and other realted tests are normal. Kindly suggest me.

As your age is 50 years ,so this knee pain may be due to .
1 Osteoarthritis as this is the most common cause . If you are obese ( over weight ) then this is an indication of osteoarthritis . As knee and ankle joints in our body are weight bearing joints and if person is over weight chance of getting osteoarthritis is very common .
2 Bursitis may be the another reason , however cause may be decrease in amount of synovial fluid from joints . Very common in knee joints . If there is damage of cartilage then only option is surgery , so consult an orthopedic surgeon and get a surgery.
3 Osteoporosis , in your case the level ( blood ) of calcium is normal but in few cases bone density diminishes and this causes pain .
So get a bone density test .
In my opinion consult another orthopedic surgeon and get his opinion ( 2nd).
