Have Large Fibroids. Should I Have A Hysterectomy?

Hello I am trying to decide if I should have a hysterectomy ( i may have spelled it incorrectly) I am 49 and have pretty large fibrois ( i am told by my doctor). so I feel like a cah cow right now. I have a limited time to take advantage of medical benefits , The fibrois are supposed to be in the lining of my uteurs, however these was diagnosed in Feburary, So I am just confused now /

If the fibroids are large enough so as to cause any discomfort, if they cause heavy bleeding, pain and if complications like torsion and infection occur, if they prolapse, then you would need a surgery. As you are already in the menopausal age, you may wait if you do not have any complications as fibroids usually regress after menopause without any future harm. You may take a second clinical opinion regarding surgery and have a regular follow up to see if there any changes. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
