Have Left Quadrant Discomfort, Constipation, Pain. ER Visit Required?

I have been experiencing lower left quadrant discomfort. It is an aching pain, when pressing on the area feels like a sore muscle, although deeper than muscle layer. I have been experiencing occasional constipation, although I have had a bowel movement this morning. I have had this pain for approx. three days, with it occasionally hurting into my back. Could this just be constipation, or something more? I really don't have any other symptoms, no fever, etc., but the pain is slowly getting worse. Does this condone an ER visit?

Of course, as the pain is getting worse, a visit to the ER will help the doctor examine the painfull area and if necessary take an x ray or ultrasound abdomen and determine if any retained feces is causing the pain or it is something else. Also appropriate measures can be undertaken.
