Have Long Periods. Blood And Thyroid Test Normal, Advised Etosys. Suggest?

hi doc. my periods had started on the 8thof sep and they are still going on. I was asked to visit a endocrinologist and also do a couple of blood tests.my thyroid tests are completely normal. I have been advised etosys 500mg twice a day. will this medicine help? also kindly tell me what the reason could be for excessive bleeding. this is the 3rd instance since last year. am exhausted with the bleeding. please help.

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Etosys( trenexamic acid) is a tablet which may stop bleeding but not act over cause.
Since you mentioned that this is third time irregular bleeding ( excessive bleeding).
This is known as dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
As note down please ,
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, irregular bleeding, amenorrhea, scanty bleeding may be due to ,
1 Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease ( PCOD),this is a common disease in young female , diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of both ovaries. Consult a gynecologist and get his opinion and treatment of this bleeding.
2 Fibroid uterus or endometriosis , diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of uterus and gynecologist will help in diagnosis.Usually in fibroid amenorrhea do't develop.
3 Hormonal imbalance get in blood examination for estrogen , androgen F S H/LH ratio ( alteration).
In my opinion gynecologist consultation is very important .
Due to this severe bleeding from many days you developed anemia ,hence fatigue and exhaustion , so please take a treatment of anemia .
