Have Lump Above Knee And Lymph Node On Neck. Took Blood Test. Which Specialist Doctor To Consult?

hi. i have a painless lump above knee about the size of 1/2 golf ball. The other knee has now started to develop a painless lump as well. I also have had an enlarged lymph node in my neck for over a year. I have recently had a lot of blood drawn and I am waiting for answers. If the blood comes back normal, should I seek a specialist and if so, which type of Dr?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

A lump above the knee and enlarged neck lymph node needs to be seen by a surgeon first. They will do blood tests and needle examination. Doing X ray and ultrasound scan might be necessary to know the contents of the lump and lymph node. It is very important to discuss the case immediately to prevent any complications.

Hope this helps.
