stage 4 lung cancer: spread to bone brain lymph nodes plural cavity. lost 50 pounds in 9 months very weak no appetite constant dehydration extremely low BP,irregular heartbeat, fatigue, dizzy and on oxygen. also has vocal cord partial paralysis and was told that left lung tumor was the whole left lung. Will collaspe due to restricted movement and junky lower lobe. Now skin somewhat yellow. Hospice begins tomorrow. What can we expect and how much longer? He has good attitude and positive feelings.

U are suffering from stage IV B lung cancer. As his general condition is very poor if u are suffering from subtype of lung cancer called adenocarcinoma then oral chemotherapy called tyrosine kinase inhibitors erlotinib and gefitinib may help if u are having EGFR mutation positive. Since tumour spread to bone and liver palliative RadioTherapy to brain and bone may help. Main side effects of these drug is diarrhea and skin rash which can be managed with loperamide and lactocalamine lotion.
