Have Medullary Carcinoma Of Breast. Best Way Of Treatment?
Hello, my mother has medullary carcinoma of breast PR Is –ev ..ER is –ev,,, HER2 is –ev I would like to consult with you to help me to find out the best way of treatment that you would suggest. C.E.F a lonely(for six cycles) or Adjuvant therapy ( C.E.F + paclitaxel ) (CEF for Three cycles and paclitaxel for Three cycle). In addition my mother age is 61years old and Centinel Lymph node: not involved Tumor size: 3x2x2CM Lymphovascular invasion: not seen Preneural invasion: not seen Skin : free of tumor. All resected margin are free of tumor. Centinel Lymph node: not involved.
Sorry to hear about your mother's problem. I am glad to hear that the surgery was done completely and the surgical margins are negative. She now needs to receive chemotherapy - AC followed by taxol (paclitaxel). As she is hormone receptor negative, she does not require any other treatment. Also because her nodes are negative, radiotherapy is also not required. Following the completion of the treatment, she needs to maintain a regular follow-up with her oncologist.
Hoping for the best.
