Have Pain In Knuckles. Scheduled For Index Knuckle Replacement. Joint Replacement?

My husband has been scheduled for a rt. index knuckle replacement due to severe unrelenting pain. His surgeon is going to use a movable graphite replacement joint. We would like to know what company makes these joints and is the joint cemented in place or is there some other stabilization process used? How is the size of the joint replacement determined? What will be the post operative and healing timeline? Clare and John

Hi, there will be one or two companies making the joints, and approved by the surgeons. So don't worry about the make, The size of the replacement of the joint. the adult size will be selected, and keep the lower size as an alternative.The surgeon will fix the joint with the existing muscles, and tendons where they had attachments.
