Have Pain In The Foot. Had Been Diagnosed With Gout Earlier And On Medication. What To Do?
I am 73 years of age. I have been diagnosed with gout few years back n my right foot at the big toe level and was prescribed Colchicine by the chemist. And it worked within a short period of time..
4 days ago I felt an attack of gout in my left foot at the level of the big toe also . It is painful mainly when I walk and also when I sleep , the doctor prescribed me Zyloric 100mg and 3 days treatment of Zyloric did not show any improvement although I was taking three tablets away every 6 hours interval.. Would you please guide me thru this problem and what sort of food and drinks should I avoid such as Whisky a drink I cherish with moderation.

Since you have been diagnosed with Gout, you need to follow the dietary restrictions in addition to the medicine- Zyloric that you are taking. You can also have lime juice regularly for relief.
