Have Pain In The Right Side Of The Hip Along With Vaginal Bleeding
I'm 49 year old female. I have this dull uncomfortable continuous pain in my right side just above my hip. I have been having bleeding prior to my cycles and heavy bleeding two days straight. I had an ultra sound that showed fibroid which was benign. I have polyps & will be having a D&C in one week. My mother had ovarian cancer and I had breast cancer. I was told I have a thick uterus lining. This pain is worse immediately after I eat or drink. I also feel like I have to go to the bathroom all the time. Should my doctor be giving me a c125 test.
Hi, I went through your query. Since you have a family history of ovarian cancer and you ave had breast cancer it is certainly a possibility that you have the BRCA gene which predisposes to breast and ovarian cancer. However the ultrasound should have showed some abnormality in your ovary in case of cancer. But since yo have a history you should get CA-125 done at regular intervals. Hope this helps.
