Have Painful And Swollen Ankles. Al Test Done, Normal Results. What Can Be The Problem?

I have had swollen ankles for almost 8 weeks now and it is extremely painful. I have been tested for gout, arthritis, and other more common conditions and everything came back normal. I have been to a vascular doctor and had an ultrasound of the legs. Again, everything was normal but did find an inflamed lymph node in the thigh. I cannot get into a rheumatologist until mid July and for the time being am not sure what to do, as it seems nothing eases the pain or swelling.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The painful and swollen ankles with all the normal test results can be due to a mild inflammation of the joint like arthritis. This needs adequate rest and anti inflammatory medicines with regular hot fomentation for relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
