Have Painful Burning And Tingling In My Knees That Radiates Down To My Feet. Nerve Function Seems Normal. Treatment?
Hi. For the last couple of months I have been experiencing painful burning and tingling in my knees that radiates down to my feet. I was just seen by a neurologist and had a nerve conduction study done, and he said my nerve function seemed normal, which would rule out neuropathy. I am in nearly constant misery everyday, I have been put on anti inflammatories that have not helped whatsoever. Is there any other explanation for this burning and pins/needles tingling. I am only 23 and I am about to start nursing school in the fall so I really need answers
hello, the cause that sensation in due to decresed supply of blood circulation for affected area.As you already ruled out neuropathy other than neuropathy also there are cause of this tingling sensation.Try to check your random blood sugar once. -walk and do exercises -some times aspirin will help to get rid of this.Consult you doctor and ask whether you can take it because he will examine you before prescribing and its important to take drugs under doctors observation. -try to rule out blood sugar. Thank you.
